I woke up late this morning. My alarm was set for my usual 6:45, but somehow I managed to hit snooze every 10 minutes for over an hour, because when I finally woke up enough to be fully conscious, I was digging around for my iPhone buried deep under my duvet while Hedwig's Theme (yes, that is my alarm, stop judging) was playing for what must have been the umpteenth time. Naturally, the first thing I thought of was CRAP, I have nothing to blog about this morning and I'm getting such a late start! And also naturally, that lead to an outfit post - my Go To when all else fails.
The thing about these particular outfit photos is that, in my opinion anyway, my face looks like it literally just rolled out of bed. (perhaps because it did.) My bottle cap lens glasses truly help to enhance the look, as well. If you think these pictures look fairly normal, then you should see the ones that got left out. My eyes were almost closed in some of them, and it literally looked like I might fall asleep standing up.
SO, excuse me while I continue to caffeinate myself and potentially also dunk my head in a bowl of ice water. That'll do the trick.

Happy Monday!

I just bought Hedwig's Theme, no judging here :) I think this might actually brighten my mornings!
ReplyDeleteone thing in life that I can say I'm actually really good at is hitting snooze 1 million times and refusing to get out of bed when I need to. Not exactly beneficial to myself when I have a train to catch every morning! anyways I am in love with that scarf and, as usual, your hair...!
ReplyDeleteYou don't look tired at all! I love this mustard color on you and that jacket is adorable :)

well, if that is how you look when you just roll out of bed ... sign me up! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL that first picture made me laugh! Totally looks like me this morning! Can't wait for our date next week! I'll bring the butt, you bring the boobs! K BYE!
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket shoes and scarf...been renovating my closet along with clothes..could really use those pieces. The picture on the shopping site where you can buy that jacket does not do it justice. It looks better on you then the mannequin with it zipped up!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has decided he likes to set about 10 alarms every 5 mins...good thing I am a heavy sleeper.
hahaha you still look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteOh and not even judging at that ringtone. It is superb! Have a great Monday!!
Gorgeous, per usual. I can't believe you start your day so early. Unless I go to the gym, I don't get out of bed until 9:15 (don't judge, my work hours are 10-6). And who takes your photos??
ReplyDeleteI purposely set the alarm for 20 minutes before I actually want to roll out of bed so I can push snooze and not feel guilty! Love that jacket!
ReplyDeleteYou still look amazing and I'm in love with your photos. Hope that didn't sound too creepy lol. Those leopard flats are so freaking cute too. But back to the point I think we all have those days. ;) Gorgeous lady!

That scarf is beautiful. And hey, we all have that one day. You pull off tired waaaay better than I do. My tired is not presentable to the public eye.
ReplyDeleteSimilar start to my Monday as well. Kudos for getting up and doing your duties. I'm still snuggled in bed. And I may or may not have called in 'sick' to work. Yeah, it's one of THOSE days.
ReplyDeletesounds very similar to my life this morning. of course the sweater is from Target and not this season, and I think I need that scarf. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful! Love the color of your sweater and on the days that my face looks like I'm about to fall in slumber, I put my hair down.

I blame the cold weather for my sleepy face :-)
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic in this mustard sweater!
Oooh the snooze button! Been there :) So, who took this round of outfit pictures? Sleepy or not you put together cute clothes!
ReplyDeleteYou look much better than I do when I'm tired! I love your outfit!
ReplyDeleteugh Niki stole my comment. But its true, you rock that sleepy face so much better than I do (as you know from our skype sessions....)
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie... I can tell you are tired but I wish that is how I looked when I am tired. I rolled out of bed this morning at 7 with 3 1/2 hours of sleep (remind me not to drink coffee after 4pm) and wandered into work without a care in the world about how I looked. When I finally checked in the mirror... WOW. I looked like a truck hit me. Oh boy.
ReplyDeleteAnd this outfit is the reason I wish I had dark brown hair... so that mustard yellow shirts would look this awesome on me!
You make sleepy look totally classy! :)

that sweater is such a pretty color on you! xo

ReplyDeleteha I am with you lady! :) I have that same song as my everyday ring tone. I love it! It is the only ring tone I can actually stand to hear plus as you know its the best song to wake up too. I also have the Weasley Theme Song from the Sixth movie as my alarm clock too! Ha so there is not judgment from me, other than I think it awesome to know there is someone else out there who loves Harry Potter just as much as me :)
Not going to lie once it went off when I was home Rush down stairs cause I thought it was on tv. It wasn't haha The phone was also in my pocket as well.
Hahah that's how I feel every morning..
ReplyDeleteI love your yellow sweater <3

ReplyDeleteOh, I've had a few of these mornings, perhaps too many of them!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenni,
ReplyDeleteJust curious as to who takes the photos of you? Or do you use a tripod and remote?
Hey Michelle, my mom or my husband takes them... in this case, my mom. I don't use a tripod or even own one!
DeleteI don't think you could look bad if you tried. Even your sleepy face is pretty darn cute. Love the flats! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour finger nails look really short in these photos. What's up with that? ..... Haha. Your post from today kinda scared me...Eek!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures! love the simplicity of your outfit :D

I really adore the combination of brown (beige) with yellow. I'm a fan of warm colours.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you use Hedwig's theme as an alarm just gave me a MAJOR flashback moment. One of my leaders at summer camp used to use that as her alarm to wake the entire room of girls up. Hated it at the time (I think I have a thing where I hate whatever noise is used to get me up in the morning), but I'm back to loving it now. Too funny that you do the same!
