As for today's post, if you're in the Roanoke area, be sure and stop by the White Oak Tea Tavern. Kristin and I went there during my Virginia trip and I just couldn't help but share these pictures from our lunch. Everything was just so good and presented so beautifully! We got both Autumn Orchard and Lavender teas, and both were marvelous.
Have a great Monday...
the most delicious warm chicken salad with spinach and artichoke my mouth has ever beheld. It's served in a loaf of bread with honey on the side for dipping extra bread in.

I can FEEL the 'fall-nesss' of this sweet place. I love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!!

ReplyDeletethis place looks AMAZING. have you ever been to Alice's Teacup in nyc?? I'll bet you'd love it! and now.. an attempt at walking the pup before the storm fully hits.. :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Not far from where I went to college! I totally thought of your end of the world bag and how this is when I need one of those! Haha enjoy the weather in texas and ill try not to float away!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are delectable. I do love a good pot of tea (I'm British, it's in my blood).
ReplyDeleteCurrently swaddled in a blanket waiting for the worst of the storm (I'm just outside Philly). It feels like a snow day.
That place looks so serene and comforting! I need to definitely keep it in mind if I'm ever in Virginia!
ReplyDeleteI've just started getting into tea... I love it!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics! It's a little bit of a drive, but one I'd make for my love of tea. Thanks for sharing :).

Okay, you and Kristin apparently went to every awesome place that exists in VA! This makes lunch and tea look like something magical.
ReplyDeleteI had a great weekend, complete with a trip to the pumpkin patch! Miss Sandy certainly is wreaking some havoc over that. I'm telling myself that the WIND we're having today is just God's way of reminding me to pray for them and be thankful that wind is all I get. :)
Looks exactly like my kind of heavenly day! We have a tea room nearby and just celebrated my grandmother's birthday there last week. So fun!
ReplyDeleteThat place looks and sounds (at least through your words it does) amazing. I could use a cup of tea right about now. It's finally cooled off a bit here in Florida, so the thought of tea doesn't make me get a fever anymore. (:
ReplyDeleteThose little teapots are just adorable too!
Is this heaven?
ReplyDeleteThis place just looks so charming and elegant :)
ReplyDeletegreat shots Jenni, glad to see that your trip was SO fun!
ReplyDeleteAs always beautiful pictures, Jenni. I just caught up on your posts since I've fallen woefully behind on your blog. Your work gets better with every picture you take! I especially like your photos and stories from Virginia. Just incredible.

If I didn't know any better i'd say ya'll went to England.
ReplyDeleteYou probably did.
I am dreaming about that artichoke chicken salad. Is there any way you might try to recreate it, or tell us what's in it, so we can try to make an at-home version?
ReplyDeleteI've been unsuccessfully googling recipes for 20minutes since I saw that picture :)
that chicken salad in the bread has me hongry. and i had one ridiculously large meal tonight (:
ReplyDeleteOooh, this reminds me of one of my favorite tea places here in Portland. So perfect for a drizzly day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe own a house out in the Chrisitansburg area (a little west on 460 from Roanoke) and will definitely have to stop in this place next time Brandon and I drive out there. What a neat find!
ReplyDeleteThis tea tavern looks awesome. I need to find a new Philadelphia tea house - the two that I knew of now closed. Sad story.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for cute tea places, and this one looks like it serves delicious food too, so if I ever find myself in VA I'll definitely be checking it out.
