My girl Sarah posted a version of this the other day, and it blew me away. I feel like I am THERE. In that gap—photography, writing… hell, even in my my efforts as a WIFE. I found this SO encouraging. Like, wow wow wow. YES. I hope some of you find it encouraging too. Happy Friday!

I love this!!!!! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Makes sense, thanks for sharing! Xo

ReplyDeleteVery encouraging Jenni! Thanks for sharing with us! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you post stuff, and I feel like I'm reading a blog from my older self. So creepy, so awesome, and such a wonderful reminder. :)

I love this quote and think of it almost daily.
ReplyDeleteI have had it hanging above my computer for the past 8 months or so.
It is an Ira Glass quote. He is the host of This American Life on NPR. If you want a little inspiration or a laugh...definitely listen He is the BEST!
I saw this on Sarah's blog too, and it stuck with me. I feel like this is SO true. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI saw it when Sarah posted it and I just couldn't get it out of my head--it gives me hope that all this fighting and perseverance will actually result in something amazing!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for posting this!! it's definitely a motivating quote and makes me feel better when i feel like i'm in a rut with my work!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI found this a while back somewhere and it's been my all time reminder ever since. I totally love this and it's just so so SO true!!!
ReplyDeleteWould an "AMEN" apply? Yes, yes and yes to every word. I've experienced this 100%. (I laugh at some of my first products and pics.) We all have room to grow, but if you don't stick with it, you'll never see the growth! Ever wonder what's around the corner?
ReplyDeleteOh, Jenni...when you're famous, I'll smile and say "I knew her when she 'only' had 300-something blog followers." Ha!
I'm so glad you posted this today. Very timely for me. Gracias! Hope you have a great day!
Thank you!
ReplyDelete(PS--I'm bad at visiting from my reader, so I don't know how long you've had this redesign in place, but I LOVE it!)
Love, love, love, love, love this! Thanks for sharing it! (o:
ReplyDeleteJust what I needed to read!
ReplyDeleteStudying 3 design subjects with deadlines next week & I'm so behind, this has given me some motivation!
Thanks for this post, hope you are well! x
Wow! Same here :) Thank you for posting this, know that it kept me going.
ReplyDeletethank you for posting this! after years of putting it off and talking myself out of starting a blog i'm finally doing it, but it's not what i want it to be aesthetically (yet) which makes me not want to write at all! this is great motivation to keep going.
ReplyDeleteon a separate note i've been following your blog for a few weeks now and love it! i'm a 25yr old living in austin too and it's so fun to read your perspective on things that are so relatable and places that are so close! :)
I am definitely in the beginning stages. I know I have SOME sort of style and taste, but I'm trying desperately to find myself and to put a bit of myself into my creations before presenting it all to the world. And learning how it all works -- making a business, etc -- it's very draining and difficult and long. But I know it will all be worth it. People like you, Jenni, keep me inspired. :)
ReplyDeletethis is just what I need to hear some days!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! What an inspiration. I sent it around to a couple people who could use some encouragement ;)
ReplyDeletedarn it to heck.
ReplyDeletethis was good.
Loved this on Sarah's blog. It's such a great reminder. There's another pin that says - reserve the right to have crappy ideas. Love it. We're so tough on ourselves; it's easy to forget it's all part of the growing and learning process.
ReplyDeleteI NEEDED to hear this today. Love love love!
ReplyDeleteSO glad I found this and your blog! As a new blogger, I get so intimidated with some of the other bloggers out there that have been in the game for a while, but then I just tell myself to stick with it and my time will come! Love it!
ReplyDeleteomg I love this.
